Addo Elephant National Park

The malaria-free Addo Elephant Park is made up of 180000 hectares of wilderness and is South Africa’s third largest national park. Known for its large elephant herds, the park has over 600 African elephants that visitors from all over the world come to see. Other wildlife species like lion, rhino, leopard, buffalo, giraffe and antelope also roam the land and hopefully you will spot these animals during your safari (remember nothing is guaranteed in the wild!). Your stay is at the gorgeous Zuurberg Mountain Village, situated one hour from Port Elizabeth Airport, offering sweeping views over the park, delicious cuisine, and excellent activities for you to enjoy. If you are travelling along the Garden Route from Cape Town, we recommend including this safari on the end of your trip.

ITINERARY

Day 1

• Arrive at Zuurberg Mountain Village late morning and relax with an el fresco lunch on the terrace

• Spend the afternoon relaxing around the pool or doing our 1-hour hike on the property

• 1-hour Spa pamper - massage, manicure or pedicure

• Enjoy dinner from 19h00 onwards

Overnight: Zuurberg Mountain Village Full Board

Day 2

• Early breakfast around 07h30 for departure at 08h00 for a full day game drive from the hotel into the Addo Elephant National Park. The game drive covers the various periods of the day and should provide good sightings of elephant, buffalo, zebra, hartebeest, kudu, eland, warthog with good opportunities to see lion, hyena, jackal and various others. The park has a unique combination of vegetation hosting numerous bird species.

• Enjoy a braai (BBQ) lunch at one of the picnic areas followed by the afternoon in the bush

• Return to the hotel at 18h30 and dinner will be served from 19h00 onwards

Overnight: Zuurberg Mountain Village Full Board

Day 3

• Breakfast at Zuurberg Mountain Village

• Depart for next destination - check out time at 11h00
