With Table Mountain as a backdrop and indigenous flowers in full bloom, it is no wonder Kirstenbosch is celebrated as one of the great botanic gardens of the world. Nature lovers can enjoy all that this natural wonder has to offer as they explore a variety of marked trails and paths including the popular Tree Canopy Walkway. The second half of the tour is spent at Groot Constantia, South Africa' oldest wine-producing farm nestled in the Constantia Valley on the eastern side of Table Mountain. Grand Constance, which is the French translation for Groot Constantia, was produced and bottled in the famous Cloete Cellar and was Napolean's favorite wine and supplied to him until his death in 1821.
