Lake Manyara National Park

Lake Manyara National Park is easily accessible, being a mere 1.5-2 hour drive from Arusha, and makes for a unique safari experience with the lake being the star of the show! Our stay is at the peaceful Lake Manyara Serena Safari Lodge, which will be our basecamp as we explore the park with its grassy floodplains and acacia woodlands in search of animals large and small. On this trip we will also visit the local village and, in between game drives, have the chance to catch up on some R&R while lounging by the sparkling pool.

ITINERARY

Day 1

• Collected from your accommodation in Arusha

• Transfer to Lake Manyara National Park

• Check in to lodge

• This afternoon head out on your first safari game drive

• Return to the lodge for dinner

Overnight: Lake Manyara Serena Safari Lodge DBB

Day 2

• Today is a full day safari in the park with a picnic lunch enjoyed along the way – hopefully you will return with many photographs and wonderful stories of your encounters with Africa’s wildlife

• Dinner at the lodge

Overnight: Lake Manyara Serena Safari Lodge DBB

Day 3

• Half day game drive through the park with your professional local guide

• This afternoon enjoy a tour of the unique Tanzanian village of Mto Wa Mbu, home to over 120 tribes across Africa

• Overnight: Lake Manyara Serena Safari Lodge DBB

Day 4

• Morning at leisure

• Check out – please settle any extra expenses you may have incurred during your stay

• Road transfer to Arusha
