The Drakensberg Mountains is a World Heritage Site, home to one of the largest collections of rock art in the world as well as the highest waterfall in Africa. Your stay is at the 4 star Cathedral Peak Hotel, nestled in a tranquil and secluded valley in the heart of the Drakensberg Mountains. Your time here can be as restful or adventurous as you desire with an onsite wellness centre on offer and plenty of outdoor activities. The next morning is an early start for an unforgettable hot air balloon ride followed by a delicious farmhouse breakfast - an experience that will have you feeling, quite literally, on top of the world!  

ITINERARY

Day 1 

• Collected from your accommodation in Durban and travel to your hotel in the Drakensberg Mountains

• Arrive in time for lunch overlooking the majestic mountian range

• Afternoon at leisure to explore your surroundings or simply put your feet up (Spa treatments and optional activities on offer) 

• A delcious dinner for two

Overnight: Cathedral Peak Hotel BB

Day 2 

• It's an early start as we head for Glen Gray Farm in Winterton for your hot air balloon experience - inclusive of a 45-60min flight, sparkling wine, and a delicious farmhouse breakfast

• Return to Durban in the afternoon
