Sanbona Wildlife Reserve is made up of 58000 hectares of protected wilderness in the Little Karoo and is home to a variety of wildlife species including the Big Five. Your journey to get here is an incredibly scenic 270km drive from Cape Town and will take you along the famous Route 62 through rolling landscapes and historic towns. With conservation at its heart the reserve was established 21 years ago with the vision of protecting the heritage, ecosystems, and landscapes of this unique region in South Africa. Sanbona offers three types of luxury accommodation, Dwyka Tented Lodge, Gondwana Family Lodge and Tilney Manor, all of which offer something special to the discerning traveler. Game drives are conducted by very knowledgeable and passionate guides in open vehicles, which is suited to photography enthusiasts.

Afternoon safari game drive (time to breath in magnificent vistas and spot some wildlife)
Stop for sundowners and snacks as the sun sets
Return to the lodge for dinner

Day 2

Morning safari to find your favourite animals and learn about the fauna and flora of the reserve
Your time in between game drives can be spent by the pool, lounging on your private veranda, or signing up for a spa treatment
Afternoon safari game drive
