Northern Tanzania Safari

Tarangire National Park is our first stop and is in comfortable driving distance from Arusha where you will be collected for the start of your tour. Known for its huge herds of elephants and massive Baobab trees, Tarangire offers beautiful scenery in which to explore. Our next destination is Lake Manyara National Park, known for its tree-climbing lions and soda ash lake that brings hundreds of pink flamingos. Our tour is completed in the Ngorongoro Conservation area, which is the world’s largest and inactive volcanic crater where wildlife roam. On a safari in the wild, nothing is guaranteed, but hopefully sightings are a plenty!

Itinerary:

Day 1

· Collected from your accommodation in Arusha

· We travel to Tarangire National Park, which is named after the Tarangire river which passes through the park. Many animals use the river as a primary water source, especially in the dry season

· Afternoon safari game drive in search of Baobabs and Ellies!

· Dinner

Overnight: Tarangire Accommodation DBB

Day 2

· This morning we will head out on an early morning game drive, returning to the lodge for breakfast

· Check out

· Our journey continues to Lake Manyara National Park, situated in the Rift Valley region. This park is predominantly covered in water, attracting unique wildlife species including large flocks of pink flamingos

· Afternoon safari game drive

· Check in to lodge

· Dinner

Overnight: Lake Manyara Accommodation DBB

Day 3

· Early morning safari in Lake Manyara

· Return to the lodge for breakfast

· Today we travel to Ngorongoro Conservation Area, a World Heritage Site that is home to an abundance of wildlife and unique features like Olduvai Gorge – one of the most important palaeontological sites in the world

· Afternoon safari in the Crater

Overnight: Ngorongoro Accommodation DBB

Day 4

· This morning we descend into the crater for a full day safari experience. As you explore this grassy savannah and open plains you will most likely come across large concentrations of antelope, a chance to capture those iconic safari scenes on camera! The Crater is also one of the best areas to look for Black Rhino so keep your eyes peeled!

Day 5

· After breakfast we return to Arusha -Bon Voyage!
