A journey to Lesotho is a soulful experience. From the remote, rural landscapes to the people you will meet along the way, this country will provide a vivid lens into the African way of life. The adventure begins with an ascent up the famous Sani Pass into the Kingdom of Lesotho where you will discover Bushmen art, dinosaur footprints, alleged cannibal caves and old trading stores. Visit the startling Maletsunyana Falls, one of the highest single-drop waterfalls in the world and enjoy the panoramic mountain vistas as you travel past local villages, fertile green farmlands, and shepherds on horses. You will also have the opportunity to meet and learn from the locals their traditions and way of life.

Day 1: Lesotho

Collected at 6am from your accommodation in Durban and transfer to the Underberg.

Traverse the breathtaking Sani Pass, stopping frequently for photo opportunities of the exquisite Drakensberg Mountain Range.

After crossing the Lesotho border, drive across the Roof of Africa – a far cry from the western world!

Visit a small traditional village and pass the Letšeng Diamond Mine, home to some of the clearest and largest diamonds in the world.

Enjoy a lunch break at a lodge situated in the Maluti Mountain Range.

Visit the Liphofung Bushman Paintings.

Travel down the corkscrew Moteng Pass into the lush Lesotho Lowlands.

Arrive in Hlotse for Dinner, Bed and Breakfast at an excellent facility.
