Day 1: Cape Town
Victoria & Alfred Hotel
- Collected from Cape Town International Airport – please look out for a board on which your names will be displayed
- Transferred to your hotel situated on the waterfront
- The afternoon is at leisure to catch up on rest and explore the V&A Waterfront – home to plenty of shops, restaurants, the Two Ocean’s Aquarium, and stunning views of Table Mountain
- Overnight: Victoria & Alfred Hotel BB
The Victoria & Alfred Hotel is located in the very heart of the V&A Waterfront and is a sophisticated retreat amid the buzz. It offers some of the best views of Cape Town Harbour, Table Mountain and the slick city that stretches out at the foot of this Natural Wonder.
Day 2: Cape Town
Victoria & Alfred Hotel
- Collected at 7am from your hotel
- Today we undertake the journey around the Cape Peninsula to Cape Point Nature Reserve
- Travel along the Atlantic Seaboard to the popular coastal town of Hout Bay for a short boat trip to Seal Island
- Continue our trip along the scenic Chapman's Peak Drive
- Arrive at Cape Point Nature Reserve (watch out for the baboons!)
- Catch the funicular to the top for awesome views of the Peninsula
- Visit the Cape of Good Hope– the most southwestern point of the African continent
- Our final stop is Boulder’s Beach to meet the endangered African Penguins
- Return to your hotel in the late afternoon – what a day!

Day 3: Cape Town

- After breakfast we will take a cable car ride to the top of Table Mountain (weather permitting) – the views from the top are incredible and will give you a brilliant birds-eye-view of the city
- Descend the mountain in the cable car and continue on an interesting tour of Cape Town city, visiting places such as the Bo-Kaap, Green Market Square and Houses of Parliament
- This afternoon is at leisure to partake in optional activities such as: Robben Island Boat Trip; Paragliding; Hiking Lion’s Head; Visit Groot Constantia; Kirstenbosch Botanical Gardens; Helicopter flip over the city; swimming at Camp’s Bay Beach

Day 4: Cape Winelands
Franschhoek Boutique Hotel
- Today we depart for the Cape Winelands – for those not interested in wine tasting this is still worth your while as it is a very beautiful part of South Africa and highlights the country’s rich cultural diversity
- We start our day with a visit to Stellenbosch which forms part of the Cape Winelands Route – take a walk through the town, shop, or enjoy coffee at one of the cafes
- Visit Jordan Wine Estate for a wine tasting experience (wine tasting in an optional extra) or simply enjoy the views
- Our second wine estate is Boschendal, home to a delightful farm stall; gorgeous gardens; wine tasting venue; and horse riding tours (activities for own account)
- Continue to Franschhoek - a picturesque village nestled between towering mountains and also known as the ‘Food and Wine Capital of South Africa’
- This evening is at leisure to stroll through the village and take your pick from an assortment of excellent restaurants and cafes

Day 5: Oudtshoorn
Rosenhof Country House
- Today we head out on Route 62 to Oudtshoorn - the ‘Ostrich Capital of the world’ and a semi-desert region that forms part of South Africa’s Klein Karoo
- Visit an operating ostrich farm where you will see large flocks of ostriches at different stages of development
- Check in to your guesthouse
- Overnight: Rosenhof Country House BB

Day 6: Plettenberg Bay
The Robberg Beach Lodge
- Morning visit to the Cango Caves situated at the foothills of the Swartberg Mountain range
- Continue to Plettenberg Bay – this is one of South Africa's most popular holiday destinations, and it is often frequented by locals who choose to spend their summer days here. Between June and November is the whale season and whale watching boat tours are available
- Overnight: The Robberg Beach Lodge BB
The Robberg Beach Lodge is all about location, location, location. This beautiful holiday hotel offers stunning views of the golden beaches of Plett accompanied by a warm and friendly atmosphere.
Day 7: Plettenberg Bay
The Robberg Beach Lodge
- Today we board a ferry and journey along the Keeurbooms River through the gorge that is thousands of years old (this tour is 2.5 hours long). This area is incredibly scenic so have your cameras ready!
- Once the 5km destination has been reached we stop on a natural formed river beach, where you are able to explore the forest up close
- You are able to picnic, swim or just relax on the beach before our return to civilization
- The rest of the day is at leisure to sign up for additional activities: Learn to surf; Hiking; Knysna Elephant Park; Dolphin & Whale Watching Boat trip

Day 8: Tsitsikamma
Tsitsikamma Village Inn
- Depart for Tsitsikamma – this is a Khoisan word meaning “The place of much water”. This area is characterised by massive cliffs, narrow isolated beaches, and shady indigenous forests along the river valleys
- Our route takes us via Monkeyland – a free roaming, multi-specie primate sanctuary
- This afternoon we visit Tsitsikamma National Park & Storms River Mouth with its abundance of bird and wildlife, indigenous forests, waterfalls, and deep river gorges
- Overnight: Tsitsikamma Village Inn BB
Tsitsikamma Village Inn is located in the village of Storms River and offers a unique form of accommodation, representing the architecture that were to be found in the Cape Colony during the 1800s. The hotel is renowned for its good food, old world charm and has been a favourite for many a year!
Day 9: Shamwari
Bayethe Lodge
- Morning at leisure to sign up for one of the many outdoor activities on offer: Tree Canopy Tours; Black Water Tubing; Bungee Jumping; Sedgeway Tours (own account)
- 11am transfer to Shamwari Private Game Reserve in the Eastern Cape for the final leg of our journey

- Return to the lodge for dinner under the stars

- Early morning safari to catch the predators in action – hopefully! Two of the best times to go game viewing are in the early hours of the morning and late afternoon when temperatures are cooler and animals are more active
- Return to the lodge for breakfast
- Afternoon at leisure to relax by the pool
- This afternoon, meet in the lounge area for tea before heading out on another exciting evening game drive
