Explore Botswana
Botswana is home to the world’s largest inland delta, the Okavango Delta; the Makgadikgadi Pan, a large salt pan; and the renowned Chobe National Park, which holds the largest population of elephants in the world.
With seasonal rains providing ideal conditions for lush grasslands and wetlands, Botswana is a feast for grazing animals such as wildebeest, springbok, antelope and kudu. These animals also bring a host of big cat predators that are never too far from sight.
If you are considering this remarkable destination we would suggest travelling with us during the dry season - between May and October - as the weather is balmy and the water levels are high in the Delta making it excellent for game viewing activities by boat and mokoro (dug out canoe).

What is the best way to handle finances in Botswana?
The currency in Botswana is the Botswana Pula, however the US dollar is accepted for gratuities. We recommend traveling with credit cards/ debit cards that can be used at ATMS. Not all banks charge foreign transaction fees but please check with your credit card issuer. Please also advise your bank prior to departure that you will be using your credit cards in Botswana. There will be the opportunity to withdraw cash at International Airports and this is a better way to manage your money safely rather than travelling with large amounts of cash on hand.
Is Botswana safe?
Botswana is considered a safe country for travel, especially in remote tourist destinations.
