The Joy of The Journey

Leaving the bustling city of Cape Town behind, excitement was in the chilly air for our trip to the provinces of Mpumalanga and Limpopo. The next eight days would take us along the Panorama Route, into Thornybush Nature Reserve, the Kruger National Park and the Sabi Sands Private Game Reserve for a work recce to some of the most sought-after safari destinations in South Africa.
Part of our job as tour operators is to visit the beautiful lodges and locations where we send our guests. It also gives us the opportunity to explore new places, plot different routes, and incorporate unique experiences into our travel packages. And while we love the one side of our work - the enquiries, itinerary building, bookings, and meeting adventurous travelers from around the world, we also love unplugging and immersing ourselves in the very things that make our souls sing: nature, wildlife, and the African bush!
To exchange the desk life for the picturesque life; one of waterfalls, rainforests, canyons and wildlife!

It's the joy of sitting in the company of a herd of elephants as they carry on their day; watching a leopard rest peacefully as its glorious coat rises and falls with each breath; or holding our own breath as a lion (whose paws are almost the size of our heads!) is close enough to reach out and touch.
And the safari experience doesn't end there.
It threads its way through stories shared by the fire; meals served with care; the place you rest your head after a day of new discoveries; the warmth of the lodge staff you meet along the way; and sacred moments shared on game drives with your ranger and tracker.
It’s the people, landscapes, wildlife, lodges, food, game drives and bush walks that culminate in a feeling that stretches far beyond the tangible. A feeling that whispers to your soul you have come home.
This is what a safari in Africa is about.
And one we hope you get the chance to experience at least once in your lifetime.
See you in the savannah…
