Description:

We love this week-long tour that gives you four nights in Cape Town and three nights in the renowned Kruger National Park. South Africa has many highlights, and this is a sure way to experience several of them: Table Mountain; journeying to the Cape Peninsula, which is situated at the most southwestern tip of the African continent; meeting the endangered African Penguin species of Boulder’s beach; exploring the V&A Waterfront; and seeing elephants, lions and other members of the Big Five in one of the largest game reserves in Africa, what more could you ask for!

Itinerary:

Day 1

· Collected from Cape Town International Airport – please look out for a board on which your names will be displayed

· Transferred to your hotel

· Check in

· The rest of the day is at leisure to explore your surroundings. Your hotel will be in walking distance from various amenities, and your guide will brief you on the area and what is on offer. Should you wish to hit the beach, hike Lion’s Head, or sign up for other activities on offer your guide will be there to assist you. Alternatively relax at the hotel and get ready for exceptional tours over the next few days in the ‘Mother City’

Overnight: Cape Town Hotel B&B

Day 2

· Morning city tour visiting popular sites such as, the colourful houses of the Bo-Kaap; the South African Museum; and Green Market Square

· This afternoon we will head up Table Mountain in the Cable Car (weather permitting) for some extraordinary views of the city. Remember to take your camera along to capture those special moments atop one of the 7 Wonders of Nature

· If time allows drive to the top of Signal Hill to watch the sunset over the “Mother City”

· Return to your hotel

Overnight: Cape Town Hotel B&B

Day 3

· Today we undertake the journey around the Cape Peninsula, traveling via the Atlantic seaboard through Sea Point, Bantry Bay, Clifton, Camps Bay, Llandudno, Hout Bay, and onto Cape Point

· We stop off at Hout Bay where you can visit the local market and experience a short boat ride to Duiker Island where hundreds of Cape Fur Seals live

· We continue onto the Cape of Good Hope Nature Reserve. The Reserve at Cape Point takes in 40 km of pristine coastline with tradition saying that this is the meeting place of the warm Mozambique Current and the chilly Benguela Current. Scientists however say that the meeting place of these waters is further to the east at Cape Agulhas

· On arrival we take a ride up the funicular, aka ‘The Flying Dutchman’, which takes us up to Cape Point Viewpoint – have those cameras on the ready!

· Lunch (own account)

· We return to Cape Town via Boulders Beach and visit the famous Penguin Sanctuary, which is home to the endangered African Penguin species, arriving back at our hotel in the late afternoon

Overnight: Cape Town Hotel B&B

Day 4

· Day at leisure to explore. This is the time to partake in any additional activities you may have in mind. Some of our recommendations are: Two Oceans Aquarium; Robben Island; helicopter flight over the city; sunset cruise; shopping at the V&A Waterfront; horse-ride on Noordhoek Beach; paragliding off Signal Hill; cycle along the Sea Point Promenade; wine tasting at Groot Constantia; high-tea at The Mount Nelson; to name a few!
