Botswana Walking Safari

Oddballs' is situated on the edge of Chief's Island, deep in the heart of the Okavango Delta. The camp is accessible by light aircraft only and is a 20-minute flight from Maun. On arrival you will be met at the airstrip and welcomed to the island by your professional guide. Accommdoation is simple, comfortable canvas 3m x 3m rooms (including two family units) set on elevated wooden decks, each with a view of the surrounding bush, and shaded by canvas shelters. Each tent has its own rustic en-suite facilities including hot and cold running water for the al fresco bucket shower – in true safari style. The central bar and lounge area has comfortable chairs and sofas, a selection of books and games, and raised viewing decks overlooking the sweep of the delta – the perfect place to sip a sundowner and watch the sun set over the palm trees, and view whatever wildlife may be visiting.

Your guide at Oddballs Camp is local - a man of the swamp, born and raised in the area, and you will spend your days walking under his guidance on some of the many islands in the area, taking in the magnificent scenery as well as the abundant game and bird-life of the Okavango. Each day is different and your schedule may change from the itinerary below depending on what your guide thinks is best. Guests usually go out in the early morning, returning for a late breakfast, and venture out again in the afternoon after the midday heat has dissipated.

ITINERARY

Day 1

· Flight ex Maun to Oddballs Camp

· On arrival you will be met by your local guide who will get you settled into the camp

· This afternoon embark on your first safari activity in the Okavango

· Return to the camp for supper

· Overnight: Odd Balls Camp Camp Full Board

Day 2

· Morning safari walk with your guide

· Return to camp

· The rest of the day is at leisure to put your feet up and relax

· Afternoon safari activity

· Overnight: Oddballs Camp Full Board

Day 3

· This morning experience something a little different with a cultural interaction at an authentic      baYei village

· Day at leisure

· After safari activity

· Dinner

· Overnight: Oddballs Camp Full Board

Day 4

· Full day walking safari to spot some more incredible wildlife sightings in this piece of African paradise

Day 5

· Transferred to airstrip for your flight to Maun

· Flight ex Oddballs to Maun

Oddballs' Camp offer family units and welcome children of all ages @ 50% of the adult rate

Your chartered flight will have a bag weight limit of 20kg’s and soft sided duffel bags work best

What to bring:

· Neutral (beige, green, and browns) colour tones for your safari attire
