Under the vast blue skies of East Africa, which are painted with wisps of white clouds tinged pink and gold by the rising sun, you awake to the sounds of the birds in Tanzania, where Arusha welcomes you to this memorable wilderness area. Begin your unforgettable adventure in Tarangire National Park famous for a high concentration of elephants and also considered one of the finest birding destinations in East Africa. Head on to Serengeti’s rolling grasslands, the quintessential African setting where wildebeest and zebra, buffalo, elephant, giraffe and gazelle roam free. Statuesque Maasai herdsmen watch over their cattle, looking out for Africa’s big cats and other predators The final stop, the Ngorongoro Crater, one of Africa's most renowned places and a World Heritage Site. The crater’s caldera is filled with about 30,000 animals, making for some of the easiest game viewing anywhere on the continent and the place where you are most likely to see all of the Big 5 in a single game drive.

Daily Itinerary Summary

Day 1: Arusha

On arrival at Kilimanjaro International Airport (JRO) you will be warmly welcomed by your safari guide/driver who’ll give you a brief introduction to Tanzania before transferring you to Arusha town – (Tanzania’s self-styled ‘safari capital’) for a comfortable night's refreshment & relaxation

For travel between June, July, and August, make sure to pack warm clothing a fleece, cardigan or light jacket for the cool early mornings and evening game drives
For clothes colours, pick neutral Pastel shades over brighter colours for optimum suitability for the wilderness. Khaki and Forest Green colours are an all-time safari favourite and most recommended.
While specialized high-tech fabrics are not a must, they can offer added comfort
It’s important to note that wearing army camouflage attire is illegal in Tanzania and should be avoided
For shoes most safaris which do not involve trekking or "bush walking", fully closed lightweight and comfortable walking shoes such as sneakers with good grip do just fine. The classic safari boots are always a great all-round choice. These are also known as Chukka boots. Flip flops or sandals for around the swimming pool or in-room use are very useful

This trip can be adjusted to suit your preferences such as the number of nights you wish to stay and the number of destinations you wish to combine with your trip. We also have several lodges we use that vary in cost for those looking for high-end luxury
All lodges/camps in Tanzania charge a single supplement rate for travellers staying on their own in a room, which is more expensive that the per person sharing rate
Family rooms are available at certain lodges/camps
Please note we do not compromise on quality, so our travel packages are designed to give our guests the very best of this once in a lifetime experience
There are scheduled chartered flights into the Serengeti from Arusha or Kilimanjaro International Airport and these can be arranged at your request
There is a risk of malaria throughout Tanzania so please consult your doctor for necessary precautions while traveling
The dry season lasts throughout June, July, August, September and October with a fine, clear sky and sunny weather – it's a great time to visit Tanzania.
